Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using classex.co.uk or any of its subdomains. By accessing or using any part of the ClassEx platform you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About ClassEx
ClassEx is a language learning platform providing an AI voice tutor, language courses, human tutoring services, educational resources and website services for institutions. Our services are available at classex.co.uk and associated subdomains.
2. AI Voice Tutor — Free Tier
Our AI tutor at classex.co.uk/ai-test is free to use subject to the following:
- Free users receive 10 conversations per day
- Conversations reset at midnight daily
- The global daily cap of 500 conversations applies to all users combined
- When the global cap is reached the service pauses until midnight
- We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time
3. AI Voice Tutor — Donor Access
Ko-fi supporters who donate any amount and email us at admin@classex.co.uk receive a donor access code that unlocks 50 conversations per day.
- Access codes are personal and must not be shared
- ClassEx reserves the right to revoke access codes if they are shared or misused
- Donor access does not guarantee unlimited access — the global daily cap still applies
- Donations are processed by Ko-fi — we do not store your payment details
- Donations are voluntary and non-refundable
4. Acceptable Use
When using any ClassEx service you agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass or manipulate usage limits
- Use our AI tutor to generate harmful, offensive or illegal content
- Share your donor access code with others
- Scrape, copy or reproduce our platform content without permission
- Attempt to hack, disrupt or overload our systems
- Impersonate ClassEx or any ClassEx staff member
- Use our platform for spam or unsolicited commercial communications
5. Language Courses (languages.classex.co.uk)
Use of our course marketplace is subject to the separate Terms of Use at languages.classex.co.uk/terms-of-use. By enrolling in a course you also accept those terms.
6. Human Tutoring (tutors.classex.co.uk)
Use of our tutoring marketplace is subject to the separate Terms of Use at tutors.classex.co.uk. By booking a tutor session you also accept those terms.
7. Institutional Services (services.classex.co.uk)
Website development and institutional services are provided under a separate service agreement. Contact admin@classex.co.uk for details.
8. Intellectual Property
All ClassEx branding, design, code and content is the intellectual property of ClassEx. You may not reproduce, distribute or use our branding or content without written permission.
The AI responses generated by our tutor are powered by Anthropic Claude. Use of AI-generated content is subject to Anthropic’s usage policies.
9. AI Disclaimer
Our AI tutor is powered by artificial intelligence and is provided for language learning practice only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated responses. The AI tutor is not a substitute for professional language instruction, translation services or official language qualifications.
10. Service Availability
We aim to keep ClassEx available 24 hours a day but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance, updates or circumstances beyond our control including API limitations from our AI provider.
11. Limitation of Liability
ClassEx is provided on an as-is basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for:
- Any inaccuracy in AI-generated content
- Any loss of data or conversation history
- Any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our platform
- Any service interruption caused by our AI provider or hosting provider
12. Privacy
Your use of ClassEx is also governed by our Privacy Policy at classex.co.uk/privacy-policy. By using ClassEx you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of ClassEx after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
